Key West Festivals and Events

Key West Mini Lobster Season, also known as Spiny Lobster Sport Season, is a two-consecutive day season that allows fishermen and lobster hunters to catch as many lobsters as they can. The mini lobster season will always take place on the last Wednesday and Thursday of the month in July.

Every year, Key West is home to the celebration of the opening of Lobster Season. Key West commemorates their favorite crustacean by throwing a great big party in the Florida Spiny Lobster’s honor. For four days, usually on a weekend, the city of Key West will be home to thousand of lobster and seafood lovers, with lots of fun and activities to do.

Every year, Key West is the host to one of the most fun adult-themed festivals in the United States, where adults can unleash any inhibitions, and go to great parties every night of the week, while families still have lots to do and attend with plenty of family friendly events happening everywhere too. Most people dress up in costumes, and some people prefer to wear only body paint. Known as one of the biggest attractions in Key West, Fantasy Fest has something for everyone to enjoy.
