There are many ways that travelers can get to Key West. For those coming from places other than Florida, the best way is to fly. You can fly either directly into Key West via the Key West International Airport, or you can fly into nearby Miami or Ft Lauderdale International airports.

The earliest known residents of this marvelous island were the Calusa, a group of Native Americans who were affiliated with the Caloosahatchee people who lived throughout the Keys and other areas of South Florida.

Some people come to Key West to snorkel, some people come to get up close and personal with dolphins and some come to enjoy the rich history and culture this tiny little island has to offer. There is no shortage of things to do in Key West, but when you have the family with you, it’s especially important to come up with things that keep everyone entertained.
